This Creativity Post ties into CP 84 and will be part of that story with two POV. One will be the female MC from 84 and the other will be this team of mercs.
Whatever their mission was, they failed and are now fleeing through the jungle trying to escape. This has a bit of a similar vibe to CP 82 but will be written in a way to avoid repetition from both ideas. Similar troupes yes but not a copy paste story idea.
The mercs fleeing are not familiar with the area/jungle and are trying to get to their extraction point and signal for pickup (pic 3).
One thought I had was to have the mercs be guys who don’t always work together. USA and Russia. UK and China mercs. Guys whose countries don’t get along but as mercs they were all thrown together as a team. I think that would factor in to why they failed their mission/job. They’re all good mercs but have never worked as a team together and their styles didn’t mesh/match well at all.
Almost like they were intentionally set up to fail.
They all fled into the jungle to escape death and not all of them made it, as some got picked off and killed. And others just got separated from the team and got lost in the jungle, never finding them.
Once the remaining mercs get picked up at the extraction site, they’ll be dropped off to another location that’s by the resort that FMC from CP 84 is staying at. She’s there to make contact with them and see what went wrong with the mission/job.
Depending on how long I want this project to be, there might be a third part where both FMC and the remaining mercs join forces to do another mission/job to try and salvage the failed one.
Or the story could just end there with everyone going their separate ways and working to get out of whatever country they’re in.
I could see myself doing a combination of both ideas and maybe have that become a separate story too.
