This Creativity Post is a bit more generic than most, as it’s less a specific idea and more of a vibe/tone I’d go for in a story or stories. I think each pic could be a stand in for its own story.
Plus, I thought that they were cool and a neat way to end Summer’26 Creativity Posts as we go into the fall and spooky season.
I like that each one has the empty quietness to it but in different locations.
Pic 1 is somewhere in a local small town.
Pic 2 is somewhere in a city on the wrong side of the tracks.
Pic 3 is a backroad somewhere woodsy. Though it does have too many streetlights to be a full-on backroad I suppose.
I think one story would be someone driving home trying to get ahead of a big storm coming. Could be any season but winter.
While another one would be someone traveling a far distance and getting stuck in the fog. It might be a ‘race against the clock’ theme too so they have no choice but to keep going.
One idea would be to make a fog focus story while another would be to make it as just a scene out of a much larger story.
That was another reason I selected these ones because of their versatility. It allows me to go in various directions while keeping each story from feeling the exact same.
Or at least that’s what I would be going for and trying to avoid.
These could also be used to help flesh out other ideas I’ve had but where still lacking something. By combining them that could lead to other ideas that wouldn’t have been thought up if they remained separated.
