This CP is another character focused idea. My shorthand for it was blonde with glasses. It’s summertime, hence everyone outside (2nd pic).
It could be 4th of July or around there but I don’t think that would be 100% needed especially if it would limit the story too much by tying it to a holiday. I do feel like it’s July vs August though. Early summer vs late summer. And the sparklers are less fireworks and more for celebration.
The blonde woman is celebrating a big promotion to her job and is having a good time with her co-workers/friends. She’s single and no kids, so her co-workers are her family sort of thing.
Her promotion puts her in charge of a whole division so she’ll still see them and will technically be their boss/supervisor but not directly. They all still plan to hang out together. The group sees her promotion as a win for them all. There’s no jealously or secret haters in the group, hence the pure joy.
The twist in this idea though comes from the company she works for. I’m thinking tech of some sort but it could be finances, that’s still flexible enough to work depending on how the story goes.
Once she’s in her new role, she finds out a major problem or secret the company has been hiding and now she doesn’t know what to do with it because coming clean/revealing/exposing it would destroy the company and cost all her friend their jobs. But she doesn’t know how to keep going forward knowing what she knows now.
Overall, I think this story/idea has potential and my main thing would be figuring out how to tie it into The Merc Series Universe as a whole. The most likely way would be through her company depending on what it is they do and maybe have that company be a big player instead of a small fish, hence why the secret/problem is such a big deal.
