This idea is more of a normal Merc Series story compared to the last couple CPs. A weapons shipment getting offloaded and sold to another group.
What makes this one a little different for me is the condition of the crates and boxes. This stuff is old.
Not so old it doesn’t work anymore but old enough that some of it is questionable.
Just from that I could spin this story several different ways and even repurpose it into a different story altogether by changing the variable of who’s buying and who’s selling.
My initial thought is the seller is a former Russian general who’s trying to raise money quickly to disappear or escape from his enemies. This could be a stash he’s been sitting on for a while or one he came across and looking to unload it.
The buyers would be a USA militia group. Not a serious threat but maybe a new one just formed who don’t know any better and they think they’ve hit paydirt with this order. And the general does too since the militia is paying cash money for stuff that’s worth a fraction of what he’s charging them.
That’s my initial idea process for this anyway. What happens afterwards would shape the story a lot more too as on the surface this isn’t much to work with.
I could introduce a third POV character besides the Russian general and militia group. Maybe a federal official like ATF or FBI is tracking one or the other group and that could cause more tension/drama for this idea.
I think that could work really well for this idea.
