CREATIVITY POST 147

This idea can be done/written a couple different ways depending on what direction I decide to go in.

The first pic is what started the initial idea and what will be the main part of the story.

A business dude at night was my shorthand for this pic and it goes as follows. He’s in town/city for a meeting or to check in on a project. I’m leaning towards him being the head or co-owner of a business and he’s doing an audit on something that his company has been working on for a while and it’s almost time to go live with it.

I’d say he’s on the phone with his business partner or biggest investor letting him know he just got into town and they’re going into details of stuff. Whatever it is, it’s an all-night thing, hence the coffee.

The guy isn’t annoyed but rather just ready to be done with whatever the ‘thing’ is for the business. Maybe some kind of delay happened and set them back. They’ll still make tons of money but he’s ready to move onto other things now.

Now the second pic is where things pick up (no pun intended) as our businessman is trying to grab a taxi or maybe an Uber, and he’s being taken to the site where he’ll be all night.

Assuming he makes it, as he’s been targeted for assassination. It’s something he’s never even considered happening to him. He’s successful but not private security successful.

The part of the story that can/will change the idea most is who is the assassin? Do I use a brand new character completely and this is their introduction into The Merc Series Universe or use somebody already established? I’m leaning towards a middle ground approach in that it will feature a character mentioned before somewhere else but hasn’t appeared in a story yet.

Once the assassin character is decided upon, the rest of the story can take shape.
