I’m thinking this guy could make for an interesting character. We could do the typical, I’m an old-timer and the kids these days are so soft, my generation was the best etc etc.

But I’m thinking this guy is the exact opposite. He’s an old man in a profession that doesn’t get many.
He could have been around to train Nick’s father even.

I think he’s got a big family, three sons and one daughter and grandkids. He’s got two beautiful granddaughters in college, both of which are hackers/computer specialists.

He owns a huge ranch in Montana or Colorado maybe. One of his sons runs it. His daughter works in the Pentagon, another son is a Marine Captain, and another is in the CIA.

This guy’s seen it all. He’s fought the Russians, the Koreans, Arabs, etc. He’s a calm person, has tons of patience, and knows a lot. He has excellent gun fighting abilities and even knows hacking stuff. He reads a lot and keeps up on all the latest technology even if he’s not necessarily a pro at it himself, he’s at least aware of the tech.

He also likes to recruit people into the profession. He sees the potential with recruiting attractive, talented women into the clandestine services to help give American an advantage.

Maybe it was his idea to create The Valkyrie Program. That could actually work and would give him ties to Nick and Megan. And Red Diamond. I like that actually.

His one downside/disadvantage is his knowledge and experience. Because he’s seen it all, he can be slow to make a decision in the sense that he doesn’t rush to judgment. He likes to see how things play out which tends to frustrate others/those around him who want to go go go.

It helps that he’s usually right in the end. ?
