I’ve got several different ideas/stories jotted down that are very similar in that members of Red Diamond sneak away for a week/weekend to a cabin in the woods.
That’s the setting but each story will be different once I decide on who’s going to be in it.
The guys going away for the weekend vs the girls going away for the weekend is going to be a very different story in terms of style and feel even if the log cabin idea is the same.
On one hand I can see using this pic with Nick making the girls dinner and they’re all laughing and having a good time. Maybe they just finished a hard job and needed the R&R. And it’s a quite evening.
On the other hand, I’ve already started a story with the girls checking out a cabin that was given to one of them. There’s already something sketchy going on with the whole thing, so the girls aren’t necessarily guarded but keeping an eye open so to speak.
They could still be having dinner but at some point they hear something in the woods which interrupts their fun. It has more of a suspense vibe to it, where as the first idea is more casual and fun.
I’ll probably use both ideas but different locations. The actual setting wouldn’t be the same or even the season or weather.
This gives the basic premise some distinction and helps set it apart from other stories.
