What stood out for me on this pic was what the soldiers were doing.
Not sure who the characters will be yet but the idea is as follows, a four-man team, could be Special Forces or a mercenary team depending on where I want to go with it, are waiting for a chopper to come pick them up.
They’ve completed their mission/job and are ready for exfil.
Everything had gone well/smooth but then at the last minute their ride is either blown up or takes off without them/turns around at the last minute.
Now the team is cutoff and on their own and suddenly surrounded by enemy forces closing in.
I’m thinking their ride got shot down. This doesn’t feel like a betrayed and left for dead type of story for me. More like we had bad intel.
Not even a trap kind of thing, it was just one of those things where shit went wrong.
Now these guys have to figure out how to get out of the woods alive and back to friendly territory.
To make things worse, I’m thinking they’re only lightly equipped. Their job/mission was a quick in and out so they weren’t fully loaded to take on a large opposing force or to do a multi-day hike out of the jungle/woods.
Depending on who we use for characters will also help shape the feel and vibe of this story as well.
