This Creativity Post builds off of some ideas first presented in CP 107 and CP 122 and I think it works really well and feels seamless.
The guy is a professor/researcher and has just discovered that a meteor is going to hit the earth and now he’s going over all his notes and data while trying to sound the alarm. He’s trying to let people know about the meteor and what it means and what could happen, but no one believes him.
Maybe he has a history/reputation of being really smart but always wrong.
So, people listen to his ideas but not his conclusions.
Except this time, he’s right. The meteor does hit and strikes Utah as mentioned in CPs 107 and 122
Now, (besides needing a lot of research) things I’d need to decide on are would this be its own separate story by itself featuring just him or would his story get woven into a longer tale about the meteor? I think the second option sounds better but once the meteor hits Utah, I’m not sure what else to do with his character so that part would need work too.
One option could be he’s found by our character from CP 122 and joins in on that group and he’s then used to tell the others about what happened and spread what he knows to everyone there to catch them all up to speed. I think that could work. Maybe he’s trying to get to the mobile FEMA HQ to help them deal with all the fallout. He’s definitely upset no one listened to him but now he’s just trying to help everyone get through the fallout now instead of being resentful.
