I liked this one because it’s so random (old guy doing yoga is my shorthand tile) and I was thinking I can use this but how? That’s always a good sign that I’ll have to flex/stretch my creative mind to fit it into The Merc Series Universe and make it make sense. So, this CP will be another character idea that could tie into many places.
The guy is rich and is closing in on his goal to make his work a billion-dollar company. He’s a former US Airforce Colonel (maybe) and now he’s part of a technology company. He’s doing yoga on their campus which they took over from a college that went bankrupt.
Their company is a drone manufacturer that also makes their own weapons for said drones so it’s a one stop shop sort of thing.
He was originally brought into the company for his combat/leadership expertise from his time at the Pentagon. He had a solid military career there. Nothing crazy, no scandals or so it seems. I’m leaning towards an idea where he took over someone’s identity or has some kind of skeletons buried in his past and while competent in the Air Force, he never did anything to rock the boat, but he got promotions by playing the politics games vs actual skills.
He’s not the owner of the drone company but rather a vice-president and got there quickly by doing the same stuff he did at the Pentagon. Basically, I want him to come off as a really vanilla and typical ladder climber but for a good reason for doing that then do a reveal somewhere that’s like #mindblown and have it all make sense.
Now what that is I don’t know yet, but I really like this idea. And to tie it into The Merc Series Universe better, maybe this drone company is a rival to Alcot Aviation’s and that company is the reason they haven’t been able to break the billion-dollar cap yet. That could be a good angle to use.
