This one I came across at the same time as the last two CP pictures (104,105), so I figured keeping the Hong Kong setting works here too.
I see this more as a character idea though instead of a plot idea.
I’m thinking he’s a tech (obviously) but what stood out for me was his desk/workstation. Like he’s used to doing this sort of thing.
Now combine that with Hong Kong setting and I see him actually being a black market tech guy. He’s a computer hacker and fixer too. He’s set himself up as the go to guy for assassins and mercenaries to go to when they need tech, whether it’s clean, untraceable phones, tablets, computers, or more advanced gear, or components for pieces of tech, like drones.
He’s a genius, I like the idea of maybe he used to work on the same drone program with Haley when they were in the military together. He created some of the programs they used while she actually controlled/used them.
There could be a story as to why he moved to Hong Kong of all places.
Maybe he uses a combat drone for security at his place. It flies around keeping watch for threats. He’s also fairly paranoid, maybe for good reason? Or one of the reasons he moved in the first place. He only meets a handful of people in person. Most of his clients interact with a hologram of him.
Maybe he’s shifted his focus from drone tech and is developing new holographic tech, which would make him an important character not just in Hong Kong but everywhere.
