This is another idea that we’ll set in Vegas. I’m slowly building up a cast of characters and groups that are based out of there. Members of Red Diamond, particularly the guys, are always flying out there to party and hang with friends. It also helps with their alias since their front company is based out of Vegas.
I’m thinking this couple has ties to Red Diamond. They’re boyfriend and girlfriend but have been together for at least a few years.
On the surface they flip houses/sell real estate but it’s only a front for their real business of fencing/stealing and other black market services.
One of the biggest things they’re known for is safehouses. They find places for assassins and thieves to operate out of while they’re staying in Vegas for a job.
They can also have the place fully furnished and ready with whatever their client needs. Whether it be weapons and ammo or special equipment.
On this night they’re celebrating a huge payday. Living it up.
What happens next could go a couple different ways.
The easy almost cliché thing would be the assassin they found a safehouse for, tries to kill them after, to keep his location a secret.
But another option I like better could be as they’re celebrating they get a call.
Someone is dead or arrested.
By morning they’ve found out that at least a half-dozen or more of their clients have been compromised at the locations they provided.
Now they’re in full panic mode trying to fix things before they get even worse and avoid any blowback on to them from angry clients.
Plus, they need to figure out how this happened in the first place.
