For this one I picture a late night train ride, probably over in Europe somewhere. Maybe in France.
I’m thinking it’s a husband and wife duo. Both assassins. They usually work together on jobs but something came up and they had to be in two different places for two different jobs.
Maybe they were close to finishing up one job and they got a call to take care of another job. This job needed to be done ASAP and it would be a great resume boaster for them. Maybe the original assassin for the job was killed, that’s why it’s so urgent.
The husband is older, early 30’s while the wife is early 20’s. She had some training before they met but he’s since trained her to be better. He went and took the ASAP job and left her to finish the current job, which she did.
They were to meet on the train.
This is her fourth night riding the train.
The first night. She wasn’t worried. The second night. Some concern. The third night. Now she’s worried.
The fourth night. Panic.
I imagine she’s upset and starting to realize her husband may be dead or isn’t coming back. She’s mad that they didn’t do the job together or didn’t just say no. She’s starting to go through all the things she has to do now. Accounts to close, assets to sell. She’ll retire since she only does the jobs to work with her husband.
She’s just about to leave when a guy sits across from her.
It’s him.
But he looks like shit. Bloody, scarred, and broken. Almost dead but needed to make it back to his wife.
Follow up questions to ask. Who was his target? And did he get him in the end? And what do the two of them do next?
