With this one we’re going to keep a lot of what we see. Namely American Special Forces inside a cave.
I’m going to say they’re Delta Force and they’re clearing a cave complex.
This team is a hunter-killer unit. Each member is taken from a separate Delta Force team, so the guys don’t know each other per say but they all have experience with caves, the terrain they’re operating in, and with the task they’ve been asked to undertake.
They’ve been assembled off the grid. Every member is supposed to be on paid leave, medical leave, vacation, etc. Everyone has a cover story. The reason for this is because these guys are all members of The Shadow Cell Initiative. The same group Ryan Frost (from Red Diamond book 1) is part of.
The unit is called The Infiltrators but it’s not necessary the men in it, as new guys are often recruited into it depending on the assignment.
I’d say there’s only 4 of them for this mission and they’re infiltrating a cave complex thought to be one of the lairs of The Scorn or even Katar, a legendary assassin who is also listed in The Ledger.
Since The Infiltrators share some similarities with The Night Vultures, they have on more than one occasion conducted raids and made it look like the Night Vultures did it.
While they don’t need the extra accolades, and aren’t bothered by the framing, those in the leadership position have started asking questions especially after the Night Vultures almost got caught in ambush by a terrorist group looking for payback.
None of this bothers the Infiltrators or The Shadow Cell Initiative as the more confusion and chaos they can sow, the easier they can remain hidden to takedown America’s enemies.
