What struck me first about this pic was the creepy vibe. Like if these guys have been tasked with a job then the target on the ground is screwed.
I’m leaning toward calling these guys The Night Vultures, a German based mercenary team that are recon specialists and function as a covert insertion force.
There’s 10 of them and they’re all scary. They’ve only been on the scene for maybe a few years and have a reputation as fearful as The Death Jesters. The difference though is where The Death Jesters are known to be wild and crazy, The Night Vultures are eerie and silent. Even the big 6ft, 250 pound guys on the team move with grace and elegance.
The CIA (secretly) used to be the biggest backer of them, sending them into places they couldn’t send their own men. Recently more and more rumors (not all of which are false) about their brutal efficiency has reached the higher ups in Langley and The Night Vultures quickly became persona non grata.
In retribution, The Night Vultures attacked a CIA compound in the dead of the night, killing all but one person, the operative known only as The Goat.
They also stole all kinds of gear and equipment like they are known to do, hence the Vulture name. They pick a place clean of anything useful including bits of intelligence which they also sell on the black market.
Langley has downplayed what was stolen by them but rumors are that it’s potentially even worse than them having a dozen of their people killed at the compound.
Given their reputation now, most governments aren’t willing to hire them anymore but that doesn’t stop wealthy patrons or corporations from using them for their own ends.
As such they’ve started adding assassinations to their list of specialties.
