So the first thing that stood out to me on this pic was his age. He looks like the kind of guy who’s seen and done things over his career.
At first, I was thinking maybe he’s a jaded/dissatisfied commander of sorts but then I went a little deeper. My first thought after that was, maybe he’s not American. So then the question was, what is he then? What about French?
That got me thinking about the Racines, my top French Merc Team. What if he works for them? And what if he’s high up in the team, like 3rd or 4th in command?
I could see this putting him at odds with Isabella Racine, especially since we know how she feels about men in general and this guy strikes me as old fashion macho kind of guy. He has a general disdain for women in combat but also respects talent and skill which finds himself conflicted at times since Isabella only hires the best women.
He solves this by treating them just like the men under his command, by being an asshole. He gives no special treatment and if anything is harder on them. The fact that none of the women have failed only pisses him off more; some days.
So the next question is how does he still have a job with Isabella? What if she has no choice in keeping him? What if he’s her father-in-law?
That would open up all kinds of other ideas and stories. Which is why I’m leaning toward it.?
