For this one I’m thinking of Cristina Diaz from The Merc Series Novelette Christmas Respite (available for free at themercseries.com)
She’s on a brief vacation at a mountain retreat but it’s not a place for skiers. I’m thinking it’s more of a small private resort for celebrities or artists. Like a place where creative types can go. Writers, singers, actors, etc. The prices vary but it’s also an invite only type of place too.
Maybe. I think it needs to be thought out a bit more.?
Anyway, the story would probably center around Cristina arriving and meeting some of the guests. It’s a small place so there wouldn’t be a ton of characters. We’d have to figure out why she’s there. Is she really relaxing for herself or is she secretly there on a job? If she’s on a job who’s her target and why?
With this pic I imagine it’s her 2nd or 3rd day there depending on what’s been going on and it’s her 1st time/chance to relax and be able to soak in the hot tub. Then just as she gets comfortable, the sound of helicopters approaching disturbs her and like 8 to 12 mercenaries land and start attacking the place.
They wouldn’t be there for her but maybe the person she’s after. Maybe they’ve been sent to kill him/her 1st or maybe rescue/kidnap the person for their boss.
We’d have to go into some more detail about the target and what makes them this important to send such a big team of mercs after them. I’m thinking these mercs can’t be that good or important themselves otherwise why are there so many of them? Maybe they have to secure the whole place for their boss to arrive safely to have a face to face with the target.
So, there’s a couple different ways we could go with this story.
Either way Cristina has to take these mercs on all by herself while also not being seen doing it.
Good thing we know she’s up for the challenge. ?
