What caught my eye with this one was the nighttime/dark vibe. Like it’s an alley or small street, or even underground, which I like best.

The description said, ‘clay idol for Durga Puja’, which is the most awaited Hindu festival in Eastern India.

I know nothing about this, which I think is part of the draw. It’s an area I haven’t set anything in yet (and I’d have to do a bunch of research) but the idea I have is maybe the calm before the festival.

It’s in a few days and there’s places getting ready for it and something important is underground.

I’m thinking there’s two brothers, both prominent Indian business men. But one is kinda shady. And they both want this item and plan to steal it during the festival when it’s crazy busy.

The shady one hires a team of criminals and thieves to get it. The other brother hires a team of mercenaries. Which I think a good subplot would be how this annoys his head of security who feels like he can get a team together to handle it and not bring in foreigners/outsiders for the job.

Instead of making up new characters from scratch for this one, I already have several characters who could do the job and even better they’re already rivals, so it would make sense for them to be against each other too, just like the brothers.

This feels like it would be more of a novella length story too, with a lot of build up to the festival and then a lot of gunfights happening underground.

Just need to figure out what they’re fighting over and who’s going to win it in the end.
