For this one we have a young reporter who’s gain some fame recently from covering a big event and was promoted quickly and given a bunch of perks right out the gate.

So now the first question to ask, is she still hungry for more? Like does she need to find another big story to get her fix or is she content to coast by on her 15 minutes of fame? This would then help decide the tone of her story.

I’m leaning towards she’s still hungry, wants the rush but not necessarily the fame she gets.

Maybe her sudden fame caused her problems in her life that people didn’t see. Maybe her boyfriend left her because of reasons, maybe the fame was the final straw.

Also figure there’s probably some guys at work who don’t like her simply because she’s another pretty blonde who gets the world handed to her because of her looks.

When in reality she’s super smart/gifted and has had to constantly fight back against the blonde stereotype.

So all this is going on in her life when what was so far a normal day turns into chaos when a major event happens and suddenly all the screens in their news room switch to whatever happened.

I’ve got a couple different ideas this could go in, maybe a massive attack from an EMP, or a meteor strike, or a terrorist attack. Whatever it is, it’s something she gets involved in. I’m thinking it will be kinda local. She can drive to get there.

I like the big event kind of thing as I see her being just one of the characters affected by this event and not the main POV character.
